The Department of Electrical Engineering dealt with providing education and training mainly on electrical energy, their fundamentals, basic materials, and their applications in daily life. The courses include topics such as electrical circuit analysis, electronics, digital system, microprocessor, electromagnetic fields, electrical machines and drives, power systems, power electronics and high voltage technology. Laboratory sessions reinforce the principles learnt in the classroom which include electrical measurement techniques, microprocessor, electrical machines, power electronics, switchgear and protection.
The department consists of young energetic academicians as well as experienced practicing engineers in various fields of Electrical Engineering. The laboratories equipped with sets of experiments as per syllabi of Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The department has various labs like Elements of Electrical Engineering, Network Analysis Lab, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measuring Instruments, Control Systems, Microprocessor Lab, etc.
The program has potential that students can become professional engineers and industry leaders. Electrical Engineers are placed in a variety of activities including design, manufacturing, research, development, testing, construction, operation, sales, management and consulting.
